  • Of course having died is better than not being born. The chances that you will be born you is so small and so minuscule, that to have the opportunity to be born you is an enormous privilege. Even when you are dead and no longer living, you still had the chance to be someone, that itself shows that never being born, never being someone is worse and unfortunate. Another thing, even after your death, your name, and who you are will be remembered. Maybe not necessarily by a large populace of people, but definitely someone. This again is a privilege, a privilege to be remembered, as you won't be forgotten, unlike someone who is never born thus never remembered nor been congratulated as as a contribution to society.

  • for me the worst is never to have been born
    because if you are dead
    you experience life
you feel being love and not
    you cry you laugh
you experience good and the bad part of life
you meet someone that will love you
    you experience to sacrifice
    you experience losing someone special
    you experience to be special
    you learn many things from
experience, love, life, and also from the world
and of course you experience to be hurt
by love, life and of course trials

but if you never been born
    you will experience nothing
    you will learn nothing
    you don't meet someone
    you don't know every thing
that every dead know, experience and meet

  • It is not the right question to answer while I am alive...I have no idea what it is like to be dead or not to be born.... got it...

  • There is no difference.

  • Depends on what you did when you lived and how you lived your life?

However, if you were conceived but not born that could alter things as you can die and still not be born. THis can be the biggest heartache f all- to be given a chance of life and then have it snatched away before experiencing the joys and love of life.

  • Neither. The worst is to have never died...

  • To have never been born.
because if we were dead, it would mean that you would have once experienced life... which you wouldn't remember once your dead... but it still would have been better while you were alive =)

The person on the bottom has an awesome answer... what i wanted to say in all my gibberish.

  • they are the same, nothing and nothing

  • We never die because we are not our bodies. For the same reason we have always lived.

  • Your choice.

  • They are both the same thing. This is assuming you are asking from the perspective of the person who died (or wasn't born).

Once the brain no longer functions, you no longer experience space and time, therefore there is no difference anymore between past and future. Once you die, all time becomes one point.

If you are asking from the perspective of those left alive that were affected in one way or another by the person having lived, then it depends on what the contributions were of that person.

  • The worst thing is to think about birth and death....

  • Well...They are ultimately like.. the same thing.

But then again to never have been born could be better because you wouldn't have to suffer and live in fear of dying..
But on the other hand you wouldn't have experienced life. Or the sun, walking barefoot through the grass.

And if you're a christian and believe in all of that heaven and hell stuff you'd probably think that dying sounds better than never have being born because you'll get to join god in heaven.

    So i dunno.
