  • I am 13 years old and i have been doing swimming lessons since i was 2 and i hate it and i want to quit but my mum said not because she sayed that she has been taking me for all these years.
The only reson mum started me in the lessons was so i can be safe in water.

But now she is acting like im trying to be a famous swimmer.
I have already tried talking to her but she will not lisen HELP

  • talk to your mum first, if that doesnt work fake an injury.

  • find a new skills and show her how good you are at that skill which you enjoy more, she'd see a true smile on your face and realise.

  • the best thing to do in your situation is go to the lessons and tell your coach or teacher or w/e there that you want out, he/she will then deal with your mom.

  • i don't think you should quit...believe me your gonna regret it...swimming keeps your figure looking good, but without the excersice ur gonna get fat..believe me i know!!!

  • Come join me Play skateboard.

    It's a great thing to do.Promise
---U must do what you want to do.Not what u have to.---
this is my ideal of being a successful person,my philosophy.
Life is too short to let others decide what u ought to be.
Respect your parents, but don't have to agree everything they say.

  • Explain to your mom that 11 out of 13 years is a LONG time, and you're older now and should be able to choose what you want to do. Let her know you appreciate being able to swim, and her dedication...but now you would like to explore some other things

  • have a talk to your mum about this....
